Digital journalists from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the ONA20 Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship. Recipients will receive complimentary registration to the ONA20 Everywhere, October 1-16, and will be notified by a member of ONA staff if selected. All applicants will receive notification of their status prior to the conference pass registration pricing deadline. (Note: All scholarship recipients must be 18 years or older.)
This scholarship is generously sponsored by the Google News Initiative, Facebook Journalism Project, Amy Webb’s Future Today Institute and Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. Additionally, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the authors of The Journalists of Color Resource Guide have directed their support for other ONA programs toward scholarships to serve a broader number of members in the community during difficult times.
Note: McKinsey and Company is also supporting 50 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities to attend this year’s conference through our ONA20 Students and New Professionals scholarship.
Applications are now closed. The application period was open from Aug. 19 through Sept. 17.
