Yemile is an independent journalist and media researcher. Currently, she's a digital content producer for Election SOS crafting guides and tip sheets for journalists covering the 2020 election. She is also a strategist for NewsQ, an initiative of Hacks/Hackers and CUNY's journalism school that is developing guidelines for improving the quality of news on algorithmic news ranking and recommendation platforms.
