Description – This solutions-oriented roundtable – presented by the IWMF and Knight Foundation – will showcase ways reporters and newsroom leaders can reduce the physical and digital threats they face when covering the campaign trail, rallies, protests, and other risky beats. Security experts will demonstrate how to conduct risk assessments and share best practices for implementing newsroom safety protocols. Participants will also run through a practical playbook on how to strengthen online privacy and build resiliency against trolls, bots, and haters.
