In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to leverage the power of podcasting to build more nimble newsrooms and reach new and underserved audiences.
Podcasting is NOT the new pivot to video, and it’s not a guaranteed windfall, either. But as a niche and intimate medium optimized for experimentation, it does present a unique opportunity for newsrooms to get creative with storytelling while targeting new and underserved audiences. By working in small groups to develop podcast concepts for defined listeners and learning from rich case studies, newsroom leaders (or those who want to successfully pitch them) will leave this workshop with the tools they need to (re)define their success metrics for podcasting and develop a listener-first strategy that’s guaranteed to expand their reach–while providing a smarter path to monetization.
