Hannah Sassaman is a longtime organizer at the intersection of race, technology and inequality. Based in Philadelphia, she has led campaigns against Comcast focused on digital inclusion, organizing to expand community radio, and in the movement to end mass incarceration. She is a recent Soros Justice Fellow focused on risk assessment algorithms in pretrial decision-making, is now leading work scaling community accountability around algorithms in other high stakes human decision-making contexts nationwide.
