ONA20 Students and New Professionals Scholarships

The Students and New Professionals Scholarship is designed for journalists with five years professional experience or fewer in digital journalism. Recipients will receive complimentary registration to the ONA20 Everywhere, October 1-16, and will be notified by a member of ONA staff if selected. All applicants will receive notification of their status prior to the regular registration deadline.

This scholarship is generously sponsored by TEGNA Foundation, the Google News Initiative  and several long-standing ONA funders – MJ Bear Fellowship Program, Microsoft, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation – who have redirected some of their support toward early career scholarships in order to serve a broader number of members in the community during difficult times.

Additionally, McKinsey and Company is supporting 50 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to attend this year’s conference.

This opportunity is now closed. Applications were accepted from Aug. 19 through Sept. 17.
