On October 14, Google unveiled Journalist Studio, a collection of tools to empower journalists to do their work more efficiently, creatively, and securely. Included in Journalist Studio are Pinpoint, a new tool that helps reporters quickly analyze large numbers of documents, and Common Knowledge, a new project to help local reporters find key civic data in their area and helps them visualize it in a clear and easily shareable way.
