Visuals are a critical source of information and trust. Sixty-seven percent of consumers consider clear, detailed images to carry more weight than product information or customer ratings. Visual journalists, specifically those with professional high quality images, double the engagement rates of media content. Yet, in the last ten years, newsrooms have lost 52% of their visual journalism staff, more than any other parts of the newsroom.
