Sarah Gustavus manages the new Economic Mobility initiative at the Solutions Journalism Network. She recently supported journalists and newsrooms in urban and rural communities across six states as SJN’s Mountain West region manager. Before joining SJN, Sarah worked in public media for more than a decade. She believes in the power of collaboration and audience engagement that helps journalists better cover their communities. She’s also the founder and co-director of the New Mexico Local News Fund, which convenes conversations and collaborations around local news and fundraises to support local organizations.
