Like words, imagery can quickly propagate biases. While it is rare that a journalist intends to reinforce stereotypes, even the best intentions do not outweigh the negative impact of a poorly chosen stock photo. In this facilitated discussion and training session, we will work to understand the nature of our own bias and apply effective techniques in the newsroom to ensure our journalistic integrity is intact from story conception to the final publishing moment.
