Kristi is Director of Development at The Seattle Times, an independent and family-owned newspaper in the Northwest since 1896. She is focused on developing and expanding community-funded journalism initiatives including the Investigative Journalism Fund and supporting ongoing advocacy to protect the Local Free Press in America. Prior to her current position, Kristi was a product manager at The Times where she led the development of email newsletters, among other projects. Prior to joining The Seattle Times, Kristi served as the Creative Director at Q13 News, Editor In Chief of Seattle Refined and as Regional Digital Manager for KOMO News. Before she worked in news media, she handled communication and digital strategy for PRR, an integrated communications studio focused on transportation, public health, and environmental improvements and policies.
