Schedule

Our initial schedule for the conference will be posted in June before early bird pricing ends. In the meantime, we hope the outline below will be useful for planning flights, hotel rooms, lunch with colleagues and other logistics.

Please note, the schedule is subject to change; for instance, our first and last sessions of the day are often subject to speaker availability.

Wednesday, Sept. 30 – workshops and sponsored sessions

  • Wednesday morning: registration opens
  • 12 – 4 p.m. – Throughout the afternoon, we’ll host several in-depth workshops and sponsored conversations for a deep-dive into critical issues
  • 5 – 7 p.m. – Sponsored session w/ reception

Thursday, October 1

  • 9 – 10:30 a.m. – Plenary remarks and featured session
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – First session block
  • 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. – Networking / Midway / lunch on your own
  • 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. – Second session block
  • 4 – 5 p.m. – Third session block
  • 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. – ONA20 Reception

Friday, October 2

  • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Table Talk conversations (session block 1)
  • 12 – 2 p.m. – Networking / Midway / lunch on your own
  • 2 – 3 p.m. – Second session block
  • 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Third session block

*Note: Many organizations host evening unofficial receptions throughout the host city on Friday evening

Saturday, October 3

  • 10 – 11 a.m. – First session block
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Second session block
  • 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. – Networking / Midway / Lunch on  your own
  • 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. – Third session block
  • 4 – 5 p.m. – Fourth session block
  • 7 – 10 p.m. – Online Journalism Awards Ceremony and Banquet – separate ticket required (discounted for ONA conference participants)
