Four years ago, buffeted by political and media upheaval, Swedish national broadcaster SVT undertook a culture-change project radical in its humility: They scheduled meetings by the hundreds at schools, workplaces, sports clubs and anywhere else they were invited.
Designed around the daily Swedish tradition of “fika” — a slow, social coffee break — these conversations eschewed marketing talk, valued curiosity and began the process of transformational culture change.
So, take a minute, grab something sweet and caffeinated and join this essential discussion on culture change, news habits and listening to your audiences — and share photos of your #fika at the hashtag above!
This session is designed for:
- Legacy outlets facing down existential change
- Newsrooms interested in engaging with and learning from their audiences
- Anyone who values thoughtful conversation over a cup of coffee and a bite to eat
