It’s an extraordinarily difficult time to build a career in journalism. Here’s how to move forward.
We’re all still reeling from the shocks this year has brought, with thousands of journalists being laid off, furloughed or seeing their salaries cut. Many have been forced to leave the industry altogether. We will try to offer a path forward, providing actionable advice on building a freelance career, recovering from setbacks and standing out as a job candidate.
This session will kick off with lightning talks from the presenters. The bulk of it will involve answering questions from audience members, whether online or in person. It will be tailored to address their specific concerns.
