These publishers took advantage of increased COVID-19 traffic to make new connections with their audiences, adding to their email lists and their coffers.
We will identify 4-5 news organizations that used the coronavirus crisis to deepen their connection to their community and drive their business forward. News sites have some great stories to tell about how they responded to the crisis. It would be a nice antidote to all the gloom and doom that surrounds the news business. Specifically, we’d want to look for sites that embarked on very specific strategies and can illustrate how their numbers changed. And how it positioned them for the future rather than throwing them back on their heels.
